Welcome to Lakeview Veterinary Clinic's virtual tour

We have two ways to tour our clinic.

The regular picture way can be helpful to see some details of what is going on, and that continues below.  However, the YouTube phenomenon has hit Lakeview Veterinary Clinic also, and we have several videos of what we do at our practice.  We included this one which has a virtual tour of our clinic here.  As you can tell, for this one, everyone was camera shy, so Mallory narrated the tour as Joe shot video and edited it together. :-)

reception-mural resized to 300 pixels wide resized to 300 pixels wideOur practice is always open for you to visit the 'behind the scenes' rooms and activities we have at the clinic.  We are proud of the staff we have to care for your pets needs here at Lakeview Veterinary Clinic.  It is very important to us that you also get the opportunity to see that.

Our mural in the reception room is an exciting and interesting way to start and enjoy the day.  The mural, as you might imagine, is our artist, Kim Allison's, depiction of the Noah's ark scene.   When you are here, count the number of animals (not just species, but individual animals) in the picture.  don't forget the little birds in the corner, and the squirrels near the ark, and the eagle in the sky.

As many things in life, all of our work is a depiction of what we do in the entire 24 hours of our life.  Our practice strives to make sure we are good stewards of all that is entrusted to us - wether that be the pets, our children, and our little piece of the earth.

Our reception staff reception desk resized to 300 pixels widewill greet you at our front desk.  This desk actually houses 2 computer stations, our printer, and many of our forms we get ready for the day. Also hidden in the main part of the desk is one of our UPS stations -  (Uninterrupted Power Supply) which allows us to keep power to the computer for at least 40 minutes if we loose all power.

The marble columns you see are actually hollow pipe that is decorated to look like marble.  The reason we used them is to 'hide' the Cat 5 computer network cables for the 2 computers, and printer.  It also houses  the phone cables for the two phones that allow us to have 2 different phone stations at the front desk.

The other side has the electrical,, so we can power all the equipment without tripping over the cords on the floor.  The front of the desk is adorned by a wonderful metal sign made by one of our clients as a gift for the practice.

You may also notice the orange leashes on the side of the middle of the desk.  The leashes are held by a wooden knob that can allow our clients to put their pet's leash over the knob to hold them in place while we make sure we have all of their medications ready before they go home.

As you enter our exam rooms, you may enter 3 different rooms.  Each of which is similar.

pharmacy resized to 300 pixels wide
In our pharmacy, we are able to fill most of the prescriptions for our patients right here before they leave.  If we do not have the medicine here, we can write a prescription that you, the client, can take to any human pharmacy and have filled there.  We also have an pharmacy agreement with an online pharmacy to get those unusual veterinary medications.

In the foreground, you can also see the cbc and chemistry machine which allows us to get results of blood tests within minutes.  This is essential with a critically ill dog or cat, as it allows us to get the right medication right away.

treatment room resized to 300 pixels wideOur treatment room is sort of the 'hub' of the clinic.  This is where we draw blood samples, perform laceration repair, triage our trauma patients, and prepare patients for surgery.

You can see on the left side our dental cart which contains the same type of equipment that our human dentists have.  We use this equipment to clean and polish your pet's teeth.

You also see hanging above the table the green, black and blue hoses.  Those deliver oxygen, compressed air, and evacuation for the anesthetic machine and dental equipment.

In our modern surgical suite, we have the same oxygen, compressed air and evacuation drops (on right side).

We also can see the x-ray viewer which allows us to visualize fractures or other unique findings in that are noticed on x-rays.

Just to the left of the x-ray viewer is the CO2 laser.  The laser allows us to operate with less blood, less swelling and therefor requiring less pain medication to keep our patients comfortable.

In the foreground, on the left, you can just see the cart which holds our anesthetic monitoring equipment.  This vital equipment helps us to monitor our patients as they are unconscious under the influence of the anesthetic.

Radiology room resized to 300 pixels wide

Our modern Radiology suite allows us to take x- rays right here in the clinic while you wait.  We also have a dark room which has an automatic processor to develop the x- rays right away.

The x-rays allow us to evaluate bones, muscles, heart and lung abnormalities.  We also evaluate the abdomen to look for growths, tumors, organ size or swallowed items.
